Outreach to our military family members and friends, at home and abroad, with the love and message of Christ through the church body.
Our desire is to send encouragement through home baked goods, personal cards, etc. with the gospel message and Scripture, and prayer.
We concentrate large shipments into 3 holidays - Easter, July 4th, and Christmas. We are working to send personal packages for birthdays this year.
Other possible outreach events - greeting troops at DFW Airport - Memorial Day flag raising at DFW NAT'L Cemetery - Veteran's Day, to honor service members.
Scheduled shipment dates of Care Packages
Throughout the year we prepare packages to be shipped out to various military posts. The church will post deadlines for Easter, Independance Day, Christmas, and other holidays. Below is a list of what is needed:
• There will be a sign up sheet for personal participation on Sundays throughout the year. All contributions should be delivered to the church on the deadlines stated.
• We need baked cookies, donations for shipping costs, serving paper goods, lemonade mixes, candy, Scripture cards, among other things that will be listed.
• Donations for the costs incurred for shipping, containers, and gift cards for these Care packages are received with appreciation and thanks to the Lord.
• To add a military person to our shipment for any holiday or to have them placed on our address list, you may contact the church office.
